Dirang : Tiny Hamlet

The tiny town of Dirang is a picturesque village of the Monpa people. Here, a beautiful gompa is surrounded spectacular by picture-perfect houses while a mountain river flows by. You can have a lovely time simply walking around the small hamlets and the rice fields through which the river flows with its icy blue waters. There are some pleasant places around Dirang to enjoy such as the hot water spring and the gompa. The Kalachakra Gompa is almost 500 years old and offers some amazing panoramas of the surrounding region.
