The Dream by the Lake

In between the ochre shades of the Aravalli Hills that stretch into the horizon and the shimmering pristine waters of the lake Pichola nearby is nestled the city of Udaipur which is arguably one of the most romantic spots in India. If Jodhpur is the blue city while Jaipur is the pink city, then the colors that best define Udaipur are rose, cream and honey.

How to Get There

By Air :

The Airport namely Maharana Pratap Airport is located near Dabok at a distance of 25 km from Udaipur city. Regular flight connection to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Mumbai and Delhi.

By Rail :

Indian Railways connects Udaipur station with all the other cities of Rajasthan as Well as India.

By Road :

City Palace

The largest palace of Rajasthan is certainly a majestic sight to behold. The imposing nature of this huge structure is given weight to by the innumerable balconies and the various towers and cupolas. The uniformity of the structural design accentuates its appeal especially because it is actually a conglomeration of different structures

Lake Pichola

The rippling waters of the large Lake Pichola reflect the grey tones of the surrounding mountains. Its beauty is enhanced by the presence of the City Palace.

Sahelion Ki Bari

The small garden is quaint but ornamental. In spite of the small size, the garden has quite a few fountains and marble elephants that improve its beauty. A delicate lotus pool is the highlight of the garden.

Jagdish Temple

Entrance through this magnificent temple is by means of a steep staircase flanked on either side by elephant statues. The main structure has been carved so beautifully that it is a thing of wonder.

Bagore Ki Haveli

This Haveli has been recently restored to its former beauty. Its gracious appeal hides the tastefully decorated rooms within.

Nathdwara

A holy place of the Hindus, the Nathdwara Temple has some rich and fascinating carvings on its white marble facade.

Jag Mandir

Although magnificent, the enchantment of this palace complex is heighted due to its presence on an island in the middle of the lake.

Eklingji

Eklingji is a fascinating temple complex that was carved out of marble and sandstone. It is revered even today as a pilgrimage site.

Monsoon Palace

This palace is located on top of a mountain as if from a fairy tale.

Shilpgram

Shilpgram is a quaint village whose country setting provides a nice background to enjoy while browsing in the local handicrafts workshops.

City Palace Museum

The Museum is located in the main part of the stunning City Palace. It is home to a wide and rich variety of artifacts.
