By Air :
Jamnagar airport is the nearest domestic airport,which links Dwarka with all the main cities of the country. It is situated at a distance of 145 km from this holy city.
By Rail :
Dwarka railway station in the Ahmedabad – Okha rail route is connected to other major railway stations. Tourists can take trains from Ahmedabad (Gorakhpur Exp), Delhi (Uttaranchal Exp), Mumbai (Saurashtra Mail), Kolkata (Okha Howrah Exp) and Bangalore (Vivek Express).
By Road :
An excellent State highway links Dwarka to other Indian states and cities. The State Transport Corporation connects Dwarka to all the major cities and towns of Gujarat and other states of the country as well.State transport buses and luxury coaches are available from different parts of Gujarat.
Dwarkadish Temple
The astonisghly ancient Dwarkadish Temple dates back to nearly 2500 years. Lord Krishna is the presiding deity of the temple. The incredible structure is held together by 60 roof columns which only serves to highlight its magnificence. The black idol of Lord Krishna has an aura of striking beauty which feels so real as if the god himself is present with you in the room. The huge Dwarkadish temple has numerous other shrines dedicated to various other gods and goddesses. They include, Subhadra, Sathybhama Devi, Balarama and Revathy, , Vasudeva, Jambavathi Devi, Devaki and Rukmini Devi. The carvings of the temple are stunning and the design is fantastic.
Rukshamanee Mandir
The beautiful Rukshamanee Mandir is dedicated to Devi Rukmani, the beloved wife of Lord Krishna. The temple holds an extensive collection of paintings that date way back to the 12th century. The beautiful paintings manage to encapsulate the love between Devi Rukmani and Lord Krishna perfectly.
Bet Dwarka
The quaint island of Bet Dwarka is situated at a little distance from the shoreline of the city. The journey to the island itself can be a relaxing experience. You get to enjoy the splendor of the open seas while the blue heavens above are lit up by the Sun. Bet Dwarka has quite a few temples. Out of them, the Keshavraiji Temple is the most famous and stunning.
Nageshwara Jyotirlinga Temple
The Nageshwara Jyotirlinga Temple is among the more popular temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in India. The beautiful temple was built as a symbol for the removal of evil from earth. Inside rests the immense idol of Lord Shiva that sits magnanimously. An air of mysterious calm descends as you look into the soulful eyes of the Lord.
