The picturesque beauty of Chopta cannot be adequately conveyed through words. Snow covers the landscape like a fascinating blanket. In Chopta, you can stand and look at any direction. You will only see the blinding whiteness of the Himalayan Mountains. You can enjoy the view of the Trishul, the Chaukhamba and the Nanda Devi peaks from here.

Tungnath Temple

The quaint Tungnath Temple has the honor of being the highest Shiva temple in the world. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The stone temple is supposedly 1000 years old. It is even said to be linked to the epic Mahabharata. Either way, the feeling of spirituality is enhanced at this ancient temple surrounded by some of the most scenic sights.
