Shirdi : Home of a Saint

The appeal of Shirdi lies in its religious significance. The town of Shirdi has become famous as the birthplace of Shirdi Sai Baba. Shirdi Sai Baba was a famed guru who lived during the 19th century. Most of the attractions here are related to the great and revered saint.

Some of the places to see in Shirdi include the Dwarakamayee Masjid where the saint lived for most of his life. Chavadi is the home where Sai Baba used to sleep some days. The home has been preserved exquisitely in the manner Sai Baba preferred and contains some of his belongings which are now considered to be holy. The Samadhi Mandir is the final resting place of the great man.
